Hard drive lag while gaming?

You mentioned the page file...I think this is what is happening too. only thing is it seems odd if you have 4 gigs of memory. The other thing it could be is some background program that suddenly sucks up all the processing power and quite a bit of ram to do some HDD oriented thing.
