Runescape PVP Stat Questions?

I never have done PVP but I'm a level 50 in Runescape. I was wondering what stats should I have to do PVP. I don't want to lose my rune armor. My Stats so far are attack 44, strength 40, defense 45. What should I get those stats to, to be good in PVP. Should I also get higher then level 50?
